In light of recent storms impacting our state, I want to alert you to a phone scam being perpetrated on Farm Service Agency (FSA) customers. In this scam, a caller claims to be a Farm Loan Services representative and and states that FSA owes you disaster assistance funds. The caller then proceeds to request checking account information or credit card numbers, alleging that funds will be credited to these accounts.
If you receive a similar call, under no circumstances should you provide personal or financial information to the caller. Please warn your family, friends and neighbors about this scam.
